Arthur Check, DO, FAAFP

Arthur Check, D.O. is a Board-Certified family practice provider who has served the people of Story County and beyond since 2002 as a member of the Story Medical team.

He is a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, IL and Des Moines University where he earned his medical degree. His focus has always been family medicine and completed a family practice residency at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He treats the full range of health concerns for the entire family. He offers thorough care not only as a diagnostician but with in-office interventions such as joint injections as well.

Dr. Check is dedicated to the local community and to providing consistent compassionate care for the whole family at all stages of life. He is honored to be in a situation where he can care for friends, neighbors and the community as a whole. He enjoys getting to know his patients and talking with them.

When he is not working he has a variety of interests. He enjoys collecting and restoring antique farm equipment. He loves the outdoors and going on canoeing and hiking trips with his family where he particularly enjoys photographing the birdlife and scenery.

He earned his DO at Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa, and completed his residency at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Indiana.
