NEVADA, IOWA – Gautam Kakade, MD, a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon is now serving patients at Story Medical in Nevada.
Dr. Kakade will offer a variety of procedures at Story Medical to include joint replacement surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder; trauma and fracture surgery of the hip, wrist, shoulder, and extremities; care for sports medicine injuries in the shoulders, knees, ankles, and ligaments; carpal tunnel surgery; and more.
A fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in Scotland, Dr. Kakade is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), Iowa Orthopaedic Society, American Medical Association, and Indian Orthopaedic Association.
He is a graduate of Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, India and Dundee. Dr. Kakade completed residencies at Wenlock District Hospital, Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore (Orthopedic and Trauma); National Health Service in the United Kingdom (Orthopedic Surgery); and Easton Hospital in Easton, Penn (General Surgery and Internal Medicine). Dr. Kakade also completed a fellowship focused on joint replacement and arthroplasty at the Center for Hip & Knee Surgery, St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville, Ind.
