The Story County Medical Center Endowment Foundation is now accepting applications for up to $1000 in scholarships to be awarded in May to local graduating seniors interested in post-secondary education in a health-related field.
Applicants must be graduating this year from Ballard-Huxley, Collins-Maxwell, Colo-NESCO, or Nevada High Schools and plan on attending a state-accredited post-secondary school that provides training in a health-related school. Applicants should state their intended major or area of concentration in a health-related area on their application.
Winners will be selected based on several criteria, including GPA, financial need, and communications skills, with heavier weight placed on commitment to the healthcare field and community service / leadership as demonstrated in a personal essay.
Students who feel they meet the criteria are encouraged to apply. Applications may be obtained through the guidance office at eligible high schools or by sending a self-addressed envelope to:
