Hours Extended to Meet Patient Needs at SMC

Between work, school and family, everyone’s time is precious these days. Story Medical Clinics in Slater and Zearing now offer extended hours to better serve their patients, at their convenience.

Story Medical Clinic – Slater, located at 600 Linn Street, Suite B, in Slater is now open until 7pm on Wednesday evenings.

“We want to serve our patients on their timetable,” said the primary provider for the clinic, Jyl Wonnell, PA-C. “The extended hours will hopefully meet the needs of our patients who work eight to five.”

Jyl Wonnell, PA-C and Mary Carr Peterson, PA-C both see patients in Slater. To make an appointment, patients call 515-685-3960.

Mary F. O’Connor, ARNP, is the provider at Story Medical Clinic- Zearing. She also increased her hours in her clinic, located at 112 West Main Street in Zearing, to better meet the needs of patients.

Now open on Wednesdays from 9am-1pm, O’Connor said patients have taken advantage.

“In just the short time that we have been offering extended hours, we have had some situations that parents were very grateful for the clinic being open on a Wednesday!”
