Story County Medical Center is pleased to welcome Missy Kauzlarich to the Story County Medical Center team as the new environmental services director.
As environmental services director, Kauzlarich will manage both the housekeeping and laundry departments. She is looking forward to implementing quality assurance measures, developing the environmental services team, and meeting with other departments to ensure the needs of all patients and residents are met. Kauzlarich will oversee environmental services at both Story Medical’s North and South Campuses.
A native of Ames, Iowa, Kauzlarich has an associate’s degree from Des Moines Area Community College and has most recently served as the housekeeping supervisor for a continuing care retirement community in Ames. In that role, she managed all housekeeping staff and ensured resident safety and satisfaction was a priority.
“I had heard great things about Story Medical before coming to work for the center,” said Kauzlarich. “What I heard was true! Everyone is helpful and friendly…pretty much amazing.”
Kauzlarich was a Master-At-Arms in the United States Navy and is now a member of the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary. She also works with Pony Express Riders of Iowa, non-profit organization that raises money for Camp Sunnyside.
