In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, employees of Story County Medical Center recently celebrated its fifth annual “Wear Pink Day.”
“Wear Pink Day” was observed throughout the hospital and clinics and is a way for Story Medical employees to increase awareness about breast cancer. Many employees choose to wear their “Fight Like a Girl” apparel, which has been sold as a fundraiser throughout the medical center.
“We have so many employees who are directly affected by breast cancer,” said Samantha Boyd, Director of Communications for Story County Medical Center. “Wear Pink Day is not only a way for the medical center to bring awareness to early detection methods, but also a great way for us to support our co-workers.”
