Story Medical Announces Additions to Leadership Team
8/8/2016

In recent weeks, Story Medical has filled a number of leadership positions that will focus on overseeing departments at the medical center, clinics and in senior care.

“All of the hirings came from professionals already working at Story Medical,” says CEO Nate Thompson. “That speaks highly of the quality of talent and professionalism we have at the medical center, in our clinics and in our senior care service. We are excited to see each of these staff members continue to grow in their new positions to continue to push Story Medical forward.”

Melissa Opperman, Senior Care
After most recently serving as Director of Clinics, Opperman is the new Director of Nursing in Senior Care. Opperman has served Story Medical in a variety of nursing and leadership roles since 2007. As the Director of Nursing in Senior Care, she will oversee day-to-day operations and provide leadership and vision in growing the service.

Megan Myers, Story Medical Clinics
A familiar face around the Story Medical network, Myers is the new Director of Clinics, filling the position vacated with Opperman’s move to Senior Care.

Myers joined Story County Medical Center in April of 2014 and most recently served as Director of Food & Nutrition.  Myers has her Masters in Healthcare Administration from Des Moines University and several years of leadership experience gained in positions at On With Life and Mercy Medical Center.

Zac Ose, Purchasing
A member of the Story Medical team since September 2015, Ose has accepted the Director of Purchasing role. Ose started in the maintenance department at Story Medical and brings several years of health care experience to his new position, including specific expertise in managing purchasing.

Ose started his career as a CNA and has consistently displayed a passion for providing excellent service to residents and patients.

Meagan Ausborn-Henderson, Acute Care
Ausborn-Henderson, who currently serves as Director of Health Promotions and a Health Coach, will take on additional responsibility by heading up Acute Care.  Meagan has nearly 15 years of healthcare experience and will lend day-to-day oversight of operations, along with offering a strategic vision for the service’s growth.
